If there's someone you can trust, that's never going to ditch you on a Saturday night to go off with someone else, that's always going to stay with you on a cold rainy Sunday afternoon and that's always willing to cancel his midweek plans to do something with you, that's definitely Netflix. Because this on-demand TV platform has become our infallible significant other for any moment in our life, and thanks to its Android application it will always be with us, wherever we go. With the Android version: movies, series, and documentaries whenever you want Well, we're not introducing you to anyone you don't already know. The platform developed in California is the first great online content and streaming service in the world, with a head start regarding its competitors HBO and Amazon Prime Video, and with a huge user base willing to pay for this kind of service. Millions of users from all over the world are paying a subscription thanks to the wide range of options offered by its apps, available for Windows, Android, iOS devices such as iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, as well as a webapp to watch it straight from our browser with PCs equipped with Linux, or even macOS. And we definitely can't forget about its app for Smart TVs that offer us loads of different resolutions, including 4K. It's impossible to say how many movies and series it has got: every day even more. And now we can watch its contents from wherever we want because it's no longer necessary that our smartphone or tablet has a data plan or a WiFi connection to be able to play its catalog. By installing this APK we've also got the possibility to download any episode of our favorite series, movie or documentary (among those available to be downloaded) and play them offline. Now any journey away from a wireless network won't be a problem if you want to watch the latest episode of Narcos, Money Heist, House of Cards or Orange is the New Black. Main features Unlimited access to movies and series from your Android. New titles added periodically to the catalog. Search for the contents that you're most interested in. Create your own favorites list. Rate the contents and receive customized suggestions based on your scores. Synchronization and compatibility with several devices: start watching content on one of them and finish viewing your movie on any other. Possibility to play contents offline after a previous download. Compatible with Chromecast. The truth is that the app is very similar to the desktop version for PC or the online application. It offers us almost the same functions, with the same advantages and limitations (we do miss a better organization of its contents). Why pay when there are free alternatives to Netflix? We know that there are programs like Stremio, Popcorn Time or Pordede with a larger catalog than this legal on-demand video service. However, this platform is the exclusive distributor of series of the importance of Narcos, Money Heist, House of Cards, Black Mirror or Stranger Things, although we admit that we miss Game of Thrones, Westworld, The Soprano or The Wire, only available on HBO. The trouble is that the above-mentioned apps offer us content from both platforms and without paying a cent. So, why should I pay between 8 and 12 dollars a month if I can watch it all for free? Well, basically because they're illegal services and that if we turn to piracy we won't be paying the creator of the contents. Furthermore, these services work by means of torrents, without any kind of customer service and that can be down whenever you need them the most. That's why Pordede isn't working half the time... Therefore, regardless of the war between Netflix and HBO in which we don't want to take part because we love both platforms and we wouldn't know which one is better right now, this is definitely a great option to watch online television. What's new in the latest version? Updates the catalog of movies and series available.
